Call for your best Worksheets!

Recently we've seen some great examples of Emme and Dynameq worksheets that have helped communicate decision analysis or promote model understanding for all sorts of transportation questions. The INRO Worksheet Contest provides an opportunity to share your own worksheets in a fun and friendly competition. Winners are selected by conference participants at Model City 2011. Attendance at the Conference is not required for submission.

The winner will receive an Apple iPad 2 and runners up will win a copy of Edward Tufte's classic book The Visual Display of Quantitative Information. Qualified entries will be featured on www.inrosoftware.com.

Enter the contest by submitting screenshots of up to three of your favorite Emme or Dynameq worksheets with a short explanation of the main content depicted for each. Qualified submissions include:

  • Worksheets that helped decision makers choose between outcomes
  • Worksheets that helped explain model results
  • Worksheets that effectively communicate complex information
  • Examples of creative or ingenious worksheet design, or model application
  • Worksheets that include complementary GIS data via the ArcGIS plug-in

Worksheet submissions should be an image with resolution of at least 1280x800 pixels. Images can be exported to PNG format or printed to high-resolution PDF files to preserve image quality. Sharing the worksheet code (.emw file) is optional. It is not necessary to share the Emme or Dynameq Project used to generate the images.

Please send submissions via email to concours@inrosoftware.com, with subject line "INRO Worksheet Contest". The deadline for submissions is September 13.
